Nice Guy.

its friday! my last weekend in sydney. don't know whether to be sad or be relieved, maybe a mix of both? props to dan for pointing out this blog out to me which cover's the otaku's love. here's a quote from it.

Nice guy.

Yet, the label ‘nice guy’ can be such a taboo label in a courtship.

Save for some trolls, most of the otakus are well adjusted, introverted geeks with a good heart. They have a rich inner world, full of thoughts and emotions, yet sometimes they find it difficult to express themselves. At least not in the bold, suave or flashy manner like the dashing heroes do in the pictures.

For a girl that they like, they will do small things like, finish their Calculus homework, repair their computer…or build them a Gunpla model customised to the girl’s favourite colour scheme. They will listen to them go on and on about their hair, how she chipped her nail, why isn’t Aaron answering her calls…They do all the nice things for the girl that they like but…

And when they finally confess their feelings for the girl, the girl says,”You’re such a nice guy, but…” By then the otakus can hear the familiar refrain “We’ll be good friends forever….” It’s the ultimate sentence that says GAME OVER when the cruel hand of fate deals the ‘Nice Guy’ card.

DO YOU F**KING KNOW HOW IT FEELS TO BE HANDED A NICE GUY CARD!!!????

can't stop laughing thinking about m when reading this post though i really shouldn't. i feel that most of us have had gone through this before at least once. read the blog for more though, its really funny. again another youtube video taken from danny choo, featuring the nendoroid dance. god damn they're cute.

watch out for the white hair girl @ 1:15. hilariously cute when she's confused.

edit :
once again, credit goes to dan for this info. the white hair girl is called yowane haku. 弱音ハク. her name means “speaking weak words” (‘speaking’ here has connotation of a pent up sigh or muttering.) she got her start from a thread in 2chan where a user commented “i bought hatsune miku for her cute looks but no matter how hard i try, i can’t get anything better than mechanical sounding songs out of her.” an artist took this and ran with it to create yowane haku, an alter ego of all unskilled users of hatsune miku. haku is a sad vocaloid who just can’t sing as well as miku. she is always crying because of her frustration and vents her frustration by drinking. her image colors are silver and purple. her character item is a sake bottle.

if you don't know who is hatsune miku, shame on you! *j/k but really, go find out if you don't*
